1994


At 12 I recorded in my Elementary School yearbook what I wanted to be when I grew up. It reads simply: “I want to help people.”


2000


At 18 I graduated from Hunter College High School and began my freshman year at Vassar College.


2001


At 19 I left Vassar and drove cross country. I completed my sophomore year at Lewis and Clark College. I was prescribed my first SSRI. 


2002


At 20 I dropped out of college altogether and started my first business (that wasn’t babysitting) making jewelry from discarded materials (including used guitar strings) and selling it at farmers markets. I also taught dance classes out of my loft apartment.


2003


At 21 I traveled, studied and hitchhiked through Mexico for the year and while doing so ended up applying to college. I returned to college (my third). I waited tables and was prescribed my first mood stabilizer.  


2005


At 23 I graduated summa cum laude from Barnard College at Columbia University. I got engaged and went back to Mexico to study with a jeweler. 


2006


At 24 I returned to the US, pitched a jewelry idea (guitar strings) to a music magazine executive — he said yes and my longest running business was born.  I got married. 


2007

At 25 I opened a retail jewelry store and production location.


2008


At 26 my production company expanded to include design contracts for B2B as well as direct to consumer. I was prescribed my second SSRI. 


2009

Selected and sponsored by Tiffany & Co., to participate in Coral Reinterpreted – Precious To Wear alongside designers Frank Gehry, Paloma Picasso, Jean Schlumberger, Melissa Joy Manning and more. My husband and I bought our first property - an 8000 sq ft multi-unit rental property - and began renovations. We got a dog.


2010


At 28 I had a baby and began transitioning away from hands-on production and towards the management of my two businesses while beginning to layer in entrepreneurial consulting work.


2012


At 30 we bought a second property - a five acre piece of land. I was prescribed my third SSRI. UMAss Center for Mindfulness   


2013


At 31 I had my second baby and began training as a personal development coach to add a skill set to my rapidly growing and in-demand business coaching services. We renovated and began renting another apartment. We bought a third property - a single family residence. 


2014


At 32 I formally launched a supplement company, won a Burt’s Bees grant, and achieved placement in Whole Foods.


2016


At 34 I bought out my partner in my first business and became the sole owner. I stared running my first in-person entrepreneurial coaching group. I was in a serious car accident and subsequently miscarried. 


2017


At 35 I won the FedEx Small Business Grant and began transitioning my coaching services to focus on a neurodivergent population. We bought our fourth property (single family residence). 


2018


At 36 I sold my supplement company and started a CBD company. We sold our 5 acre piece of land. 


2019


At 37 we designed, permitted and broke ground on a studio and residence accessory dwelling.  


2020


At 38 the Covid-19 pandemic hit and we pulled our kids out of school to homeschool them for the remainder of 2020 and the following school year.  I kept my businesses afloat.  We sold a single family home. 


2021


At 39 I started my first Air BnB. 


2022

At 40 I opened up my personal development practice in-person again. I ran a half-year time management group. I spent the entire summer with my kids on Block Island, for the first time since my 20s. I renovated at 1980’s Boston Whaler.
