As respite from the cold of Joshua Tree, we spent the night at Ruby Zee Montana's
Coral Sands Inn.
It was glorious. In a kitsch Cowgirl motel surrounded by the mountains, we spent the night in The Yiddish Cowgirl Suite.
We swam in the pool.
We played with the mutts Lola and Louie.
We slept in a BED.
And best of all, we got to spend time with Ruby, who's most recent salt and pepper shaker dash of fame is a chapter entitled Ruby Montana in Tom Robbins' newest book.
