Our Day of National Parks

Organ Pipe State Park, Arizona.
Borders Mexico.
This harsh desert is host to over one hundred and fifty miles of illegal passes through which coyotes (people hired to smuggle Mexicans illegally into the US) lead their treks.
We did not see any.

Sand Dunes National Recreation Area, California.
This place looks like what I would think Egypt would look like.
Miles and miles of moving sand with no vegetation.
A four-wheelers or dirt bikers dream location.
Chris was sad to be driving a station wagon.

The Salton Sea State Park, California.
A man-made lake designed in the 50's to be Southern Cali's Lake Tahoe vacation heaven.
It is not.
Dirty water, notice the foam.
Dead fish.
Meth Labs.
Etc.
Voted by Chris and Hannah the sketchiest place this side of,
well, anywhere.

Joshua Tree National Park, California.
Truly the most beautiful place ever.
Also cold.
Like, a sheet of ice on the fly when we got out of the tent in the morning.
To survive at J Tree at the minimum please wear the following:
1 bra
2 tank tops
1 T-shirt
1 silk long sleeve undershirt
2 cotton long sleeve shirts
1 EMS style warm shirt with zipper collar
1 Sweatshirt
2 Wool Sweaters
1 Jean Jacket
1 Hat
1 pair arm warmers
1 pair underwear
1 pair shorts
1 pair fleece pants
1 pair blue jeans
1 pair wools socks
1 pair chaco sandals

And our bodies were adjusted to the Mexican sun.
