The Things We Find
So, days later we have been mining and mining and having meetings and meetings.
We have found some great things and met some great people. We have also been amassing a great collection of photographs of totally wild church signs...so look forward to those, I will post them all together.
In other news, we are all still getting along, the truck is running like a champ, and we are having a grand old time, despite the tornado watch for this afternoon and evening.
To date, we have found ruby, emerald, amethyst, citrine, tourmaline, sapphire, aventurine, sodalite, rutilated quartz and various calcites. We have some great pieces and I can't wait to get back and create a whole new collection with beautiful gemstones! We miss you all and wish you were all riding in the cab of the truck with us.

A Stitch in Time
So here is the current state of the apartment.
Chris put these together using my camera and a stitch program that he got from brother Jon.
We are leaving our nice new place tomorrow to be gone for three weeks.
The hub cub, the moo and I venture off on the annual Southern Junket, via truck.
But for now, I'll be in the Library.

There is this place by our house with office supply closeouts.
It is amazing.
Chairs, desks, retaurant booths, manequins, a room of filing cabinets the size of my high school gym, display cases, counters, tables, shelving...and everything else.

my screen shimmers in the light now.
I don't care what I'll pay,
just to have my little 'pudre.
And so I'm:
typing just as fast as I can (can, can, can)
Holding my mouse in one hand (hand, hand, hand)
Trying to get away into cyberspace
And then you pop up all those emails that could never be found
And then you say:
(computer speaks:)
"I think I'm back home now.
There doesn't seem to be a big server around.
I think I'm back home now.
That repair center in Texas just can be found."

Did You Miss Us??
We are alive and well. Though we now live in the dark ages. First, we didn't have internet. Someone from somewhere had gone on leave and then had moved on to being MIA. Then my computer went on vacation to Apple. (The said one week, 400 bucks). Then Apple called and said, "umm, maybe three weeks...ummm, a month? And, we are sorry but, we have to replace your screen and that will be one million more dollars."
Arrrgh.
Then we got wireless. But our other computer can't have wireless.
So it is snowing. And my computer is on vacation in Texas.
But we love it here in the new big place. Pics soon.
